Our commitment to child safety
The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our first priority. Little Noor Academy is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for every student, in line with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
Working with Children Checks
Every staff member and volunteer who works directly with children at Little Noor Academy holds a current, valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), issued by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian. We verify each clearance using the Office’s online Employer/Volunteer Verification search before a staff member begins working with students, and we re-verify regularly — a WWCC can be suspended or barred by the Office at any time, even before its five-year expiry, so we don’t rely on a one-off check at hiring. What this means in practice
We have a code of conduct for staff that sets clear expectations for appropriate behaviour around children. Classes are structured so that a child is never alone with a single adult without visibility from another adult or, for online classes, a parent or guardian able to observe. We listen to children and take any concern seriously, no matter how small.
Reporting a concern
If you have any concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child at Little Noor Academy — including a concern about the conduct of a staff member — please contact us immediately on our contact page or call xxxxxxxx. You can also contact the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian or the Child Protection Helpline (132 111) if you believe a child is at risk. If a child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services on 000 first.
